Sapphire City Psychology currently has limited availability to accept new referrals. If you are having difficulty accessing a psychologist, phoning the Australian Psychological Society on 1800 333 497 enables access to their 'find a psychologist' function that can provide contact details for psychologists Australia wide. To discuss potential future appointment availability please email craig@sapphirecitypsychology.com.au or call 0409220600.
Medicare: A Medicare rebate of $96.65 is available. This will leave eligible individual clients with an out-of-pocket expense of $83.35 per appointment. The full fee needs to be paid on the day of your appointment. Our healthcare management system will process the rebate into your nominated bank account, usually within 24-48 hours
Note: The Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Suggested Fees 2024-2025 has the standard 46-60 minute consultation fee at $311.00. Sapphire City Psychology has fees set lower than the APS suggested fee.
NDIS: Appointments for self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants are available. Please click on the NDIS Referral Form button on the contact page to initiate contact with us
Missed appointments, reschedules and cancellations: In line with recommendations from the Australian Psychological Society fees may be applicable for late reschedule or appointment cancellation requests, or for unattended appointments without notice. With less than 24 hours' notice 100% of the usual appointment fee will be charged. If 24-48 hours' notice is provided 50% of the usual fee will be charged. Providing greater than 48 hours' notice may allow us sufficient time to offer the appointment to another client who may be on an appointment waiting list, therefore no fee will apply in this case. Unfortunately, Medicare rebates are not available for missed appointments. For clients under NDIS funding a late cancellation is anything less than 2 clear business days' notice. If you cancel late or do not attend an appointment, your NDIS Plan will be charged the session fee for that appointment, in line with NDIS Guidelines
Letter and report preparation: Fees for completing letters and reports will be charged at applicable rates based upon the Australian Psychological Society National Schedule of Recommended Fees, or NDIS Pricing Arrangements
Other: Please phone us or complete the Self/Agency Referral Form on the contact page and we will discuss your referral and the applicable fee structure
Sapphire City Psychology uses up to date and professional Telehealth platforms that are very user friendly. You will not usually need to download any new technology. A unique link will be sent to your device (tablet, computer, smartphone) that will enable your access to your confidential appointment. Having a quiet and private area available when you 'attend' your appointment is highly recommended.
There are many reasons people seek referral to a psychologist or have the treatment recommended by medical professionals, employers, colleagues, family members, friends or others.
Anxiety, stress, depression, fears and phobias, and experiencing or witnessing violence or trauma can pose a serious threat to our mental well-being. Issues with health, addiction, grief and loss, relationships or bullying are just some examples of the many reasons people may seek support from a psychologist.
Regardless of whether you meet us in-person or attend online sessions, your relationship with Sapphire City Psychology will be a professional, private and personal service.
No matter your reason for seeking us out, we will provide a safe and understanding environment to support your needs. If we believe you may benefit from support that we can not offer, we will discuss alternative referral options with you.
If you have any questions about referral processes, appointment availability, fees or other matter please contact us to discuss any queries you may have.
